One-way Rentals

What is a one-way rental?

One-way rental is a convenient system that allows you to return your vehicle at a location different from your pickup location.
(For example, you can pick a car up at Morioka, and drop it off at Sendai.)
NO additional charges apply if the pickup and return locations are within 50 km of each other (Hokkaido is an exception).
Additional one-way charges will apply if the locations are apart by more than 50 km.

*Customers must request the one-way option in advance.
*One-way option is not available between Hokkaido and Honshu, Shikoku, or Kyushu.
*One-way option is not available at certain offices. Please confirm the Locations page. The option may not be available due to other reasons regarding our vehicle operation policy.
*Charges are calculated based on the travel distance of main routes designated by the company.

How to use the charge table

(1) Find your pickup location

For this example, we will assume a case where you will pick up a car at the "Shin-Aomori Store" and drop it off at the "Omagari Store".
First, click "Tohoku" in the one-way charge table to display the charge table for the Tohoku area. Next, find the "Shin-Aomori" tab.

(3) Confirm the one-way charge

Confirm the number where the vertical line of the pickup location and horizontal line of the return location cross. For this example, the number is, "9.18".
Figures are displayed in units of one thousand yen, so a separate one-way option charge of 9,180 yen will apply in addition to the regular rental charge.
